CAYC, Whitehead Water Fest 2024

This is the Club's Water Fest, a fun day to raise funds for the RNLI on this the 200th Anniversary of the RNLI volunteer organisation.

The Local Branch for the RNLI will be present with a Stall, Lifejacket safety Checks and advice on Water Safety.

There will be Kayak and Paddleboard Races for Children and Adults, Dinghy Taster Sessions (These entry fees go to RNLI Funds).

This year we have on offer Cruiser Taster sailing - 1.5 hrs on a 41' large yacht - these are costed at £15 per session to help cover the costs of the yacht visiting us in Whitehead. WaveRides will be able to offer you information about day sails, cruises and RYA courses.

Any additional donations onshore will be very welcome.

There will be a BBQ on the go all afternoon, outside refreshments and music too.

Also, the Wee Sauna are coming along to offer a special relaxing alternative to being on the water!

Please note:

There will be the Festival Swim at 1500 from the public slip/car park at Blackhead to the club small slip. This is organised by the Whitehead Swimming Club. Austin Jenkins and his Team will be taking registrations on the day at approx. 1430 in the vicinity of the Yacht Club.
