Kayaking Safety Awareness Courses, Saturday 28th May 2022 - completed
Kayaking Safety Awareness Courses in partnership with Causeway Coast Kayaking Tours on sit-on-top kayaks.
These Kayaking Safety Awareness courses were open to Members only as this is a development path to build the CAYC Kayaking Section. The course was open to beginners and members who already own their own kayaks. We recommended to all members who wish to kayak at CAYC to complete a Kayaking Safety Awareness course. Recreational kayaking is at your own risk. Further guidance and advice will be applied to the Club operating procedure as we move towards CAYC organised Kayaking. We are aligned to CANI

2020 has seen a growth in members paddling, particularly women and parents which is great to see. Whilst children are sailing, they too can be on the water.
Development is also being seen in skillsets with several young members keen to become instructors.
4 of our Members are progressing Leadership skills and certification.
