Update on Fund-raising

County Antrim Yacht Club are delighted to have received a donation from Power NI via staff member Steffi Lewis.

We appreciate this donation which will be transferred to Whitehead Storehouse with the donations from CAYC Members who took part in a Virtual Quiz on Saturday 25 April.

This joint funding from Power NI Staff Community Response Fund and CAYC will enable the delivery of approx. 25-30 Food packages to support individuals and families in the local community who are vulnerable or shielding. This will also enable the provision of emergency Food packages and toiletries where needed.

About Whitehead Storehouse, the local foodbank: This food bank was established in 2016, to work with disadvantaged people in the Whitehead area. It is the nearest food bank for people living in the Whitehead and surrounding areas. In the current lockdown situation, the volunteers are carrying out multiple activities to support the community. It is registered as a charity and is governed by six trustees from all sections of the community.
