Extended bar hours at the Club were planned to go ahead from 16th October, but unfortunately the announcement from the Executive on the 14th October means this is no longer possible.

However, the bar will open the next few evenings for any members who wish to enjoy a social pint before the restrictions set in this weekend.

Wednesday 14th : 8pm-10pm

Thursday 15th : 7pm - 9pm

Friday 16th : 4pm - 6pm

To ensure the safety of our staff and members, a COVID-19 Risk Assessment has been carried out. The following protocols have been put in place for the safety of staff and members. PLEASE READ THESE CAREFULLY BEFORE COMING DOWN TO THE CLUB.

ENTERING AND EXITING THE CLUBHOUSE

Everyone must enter by the main front door and leave by the Back door. Please carry your keyfob for access as bar staff may be busy and not available to buzz you in. Anyone who is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms i.e. a cough, fever, loss of taste or smell or who has been in contact with someone experiencing these symptoms or who has had a positive Covid-19 test MUST NOT ENTER THE PREMISES.

One person at a time will be permitted to use the lift, except members of the same household or social bubble, who may enter together.

Please wear a mask when entering and leaving the club. Your mask can be removed once seated.

HAND HYGIENE

Hands Free sanitisers have been placed at various points throughout the premises. EVERYONE MUST SANITISE THEIR HANDS BEFORE ENTERING THE PREMISES.

Members should regularly sanitise whilst in the Clubhouse building and on leaving Premises.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

The seating within the club has been arranged to maintain social distancing. Everyone, except members of the same household or social bubble, must distance where possible. Please do not rearrange the furniture. The Lounge (General Room), Committee room & Deck are all available, with limited seating.

Only two households may sit together at a table.

Members wishing to use the hardstanding /or Club frontage areas should bring their own fold away chairs. Please ensure outdoor seating is set out to maintain social distancing and it is not obstructing the dinghy rigging or storage zones.

BAR SERVICE

All members will be asked to wait at the entrance to the bar before being seated, and bar staff will carry out table service. If you would like to use the decking, access through the bar, take a seat and wait for table service.

Please do not gather at the bar - legislation states you must remain seated unless using the toilets or leaving. The tables and chairs have been arranged according to social distancing, so please do not add additional chairs around a table.

Payment should be made by card where possible.

Plastic screens have been installed at the bar for the protection of the staff and customers.

When not behind the bar, Staff will be wearing PPE for the protection of our customers. A strict cleaning regime of bar surfaces, till, card machine will be in operation. Tables will be sanitised as soon as they become vacant.

Staff will be required to wash/sanitise their hands after collecting glasses and before moving on to another task.

TRACK AND TRACE

Bar staff will ask for a name and contact number when they take your order. In the event of a member testing positive the Commodore should be contacted (Francis Rock 07808720657). All information will be treated sensitively.

TOILETS

A "one in, one out" system will be in place. Sanitisers will be provided to clean the toilet surface and handles etc. The touch top bins have been replaced by pedal bins, to avoid hand contamination.

Male and female toilets will be open with restricted cubicles cordoned off.

Given the limitation of cubicles, these must not be used by sailors or kayakers for the purpose of changing clothes.

RESTRICTED AREAS

The Training Room, Kitchen, Changing Rooms and Snooker Room will be kept locked. This is to reduce the risk of surfaces becoming contaminated.

SIGNAGE

Signage has been put up around the Club to ensure everyone on the premises is aware of the safety procedures.

GENERAL CLEANING PROCEDURES

A heightened cleaning regime will be in place of all surfaces throughout the premises. The safety of our members and staff is our priority
