RYANI Youth Championships 2023

Congratulations to all the sailors at the RYANI Youth Championships. To the winners and all those competing representing their Clubs and Schools. County Antrim Yacht Club members can be very proud of their young sailors that took part over two challenging days. Shifty light winds and Fog! Also recognised are the CAYC volunteers and parents all lending a hand. Ranging from Race Mgmt, mark laying, safety boat and slip duty. In terms of results: every CAYC sailor contributed and the Club was the runner up for the Club Trophy.

Of note Congratulations to:

Luke Simpson who was 2nd in the ILCA4 Class, which he has just transitioned to. Ben Simpson was 2nd in the Regatta Fleet.

Aoife Pollard received a special award from the Coaches, also in the Regatta Fleet. Rory had a super result of 6th in the ILCA6(Radial) Class. Calum was unlucky not to have had another race to gain a discard, having two credible results of a 4th and 5th in the Topper 5.3, he carried an OCS(On Course Side at the start) score. Both also transitioned to new classes this season.

Once again, well done to all these young members! According to one and all, they thoroughly enjoyed the Event at Ballyholme Yacht Club.
