Satge 20, 31st May, Maniago to Monte Zoncolon

Movistar rider Nairo Quintana is on the brink of Giro d’Italia victory after maintaining his lead over Rigoberto Uran on the penultimate stage.

Australia’s Michael Rodgers won the stage ahead of Italy’s Franco Pellizotti and Francesco Bongiorno.

The Giro ends tomorrow with a flat route from Gemona del Friuli to Trieste when the winner of the Maglia Rosa and the CAYC Stena Line sweepstake will be confirmed.

Giro / StenaLine Sweepstake

Spurred on by the chance of drawing one of the top placed riders there was a frenzy of last minute ticket purchases on Wednesday night. 

This has resulted in all of the available 198 tickets being sold – thanks to everyone.
Stage 18,Thursday 29th, Belluno to Rifugio Panarotta.

Colombia’s Julian Arredondo secured the first Grand Tour win of his career as he powered to victory on stage 18 of the Giro d’Italia.

Leader Nairo Quintana was yet another Colombian rider to enjoy a good day as he kept control of the leader’s jersey.

Cadel Evans was the day’s big loser as the Australian dropped from third to ninth in the general classification.
