eSailing Christmas Regatta
CAYC eSailing Christmas Regatta with PRIZES!! The CAYC virtual Christmas Series will take place at 16:00 on Sunday the 13th, 20th and 27th December with three races each day back to back to complete a 9 race series with 1 discard for every four races completed (2 discards in a 9 race series). The winner will receive a very stylish Musto Sailing Bag with two runners up receiving either CAYC or Topper

Book Club News
A big shout out for the CAYC Book Club who have gone from strength to strength during the COVID restrictions. During our seven months of Zoom meetings we have branched out reading different genres and authors from around the world. RNLI Fish Supper Fundraiser Event
£530 was raised by Club members purchasing Takeaways after sailing on Saturday 17 October. Whilst Covid-19 restrictions had been set to Close Bars and restaurants on Friday 16 October, the Event organisers (Lewis Family) had planned for this eventuality and were able to still deliver. The Takeaways consisted of Fish Finger Baps, Fish Pies, Chowder and the deluxe limited offerings of Fish pie, with Prawn cocktail and Ewings Smoked Salmon tasters. Thank you to everyone

RYA Awards 2020
Each year the RYA Volunteer Awards recognise the outstanding contributions made by volunteers throughout the UK. Traditionally taking place at an awards ceremony in London, the RYA Volunteer Awards recognise and say 'thank you' to volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to the sport with recipients nominated by their sailing clubs, class associations and members of the boating community.

Club Bar Closure
Following the NI Executive regulations for Covid-19 the Club's Bar is once again closed as of Friday 16 October @ 18:00 The Club Changing facilities have remained off limits from March 2020. Sailing and Kayaking within groups of no more than 15 will continue, weather permitting.

Rescue Incident Thank You
It is with immense gratitude and thanks that I am writing to CAYC in the wake of their speedy actions and observations on the evening of Wednesday the 12th of August 2020. My family, my son (9 years old and new to sailing), my husband and myself took our trusty old Wayfarer out for a sail on the Lough for an evening of what was meant to be a quick relaxing light sailing.

Storm - Ellen
Warnings have been issued ahead of Storm Ellen which will move in from the Atlantic on Wednesday night.The highest level weather warning, Status Red, has been issued for County Cork by Irish weather service, Met Éireann.A yellow warning has also been issued for Northern Ireland by the Met Office.The storm, which contains remnants of Tropical Storm Kyle, will move into the west coast of Ireland, bringing severe gales.
