    Commodore's Night

    Commodore's Night was held on Saturday 25 January. After Commodore Paul Abraham gave an entertaining overview of 2019, two special awards were made. The Workman Plate was awarded to "Action Man" Tom Rafferty for his fantastic efforts as a volunteer.     RYA NI presents CAYC Juniors with the Young Volunteers of the Year Award!

    Amy Armstrong and James Corbett were awarded the RYANI Young Volunteers of the Year Cup at their annual awards event on Friday evening, recognising their contribution across the diverse activities they have supported within the Club. Amy and James are the CAYC Junior Captains, who along with the Vice Captains, Hannah Todd and Michael Rock, attended the awards ceremony.     Junior Presentation to Friends of the Cancer Centre

    After an amazing season of fundraising the juniors have raised an incredible amount of £1500!!! Well done everyone. In January, Hannah Todd, representing CAYC Junior Committee, presented a cheque of £500 on behalf of County Antrim Yacht Club Juniors to The Friends of the Cancer Centre.     Presentation to the RNLI

    28 December Vice Commodore, Francis Rock, handed over a cheque for £500 to Carrickfergus RNLI from County Antrim Yacht Club. The funds were raised at the Raft Race Day and on Victorian Street Fair Day.

    Annual Golf Outing at Larne Golf Club

    On 27 December, the Annual Golf Outing took place at Larne Golf Club, Islandmagee. It was expertly organised, with great fun and a lovely meal afterwards. Congratulations to all the prizewinners, and a massive thank you to everyone involved!

    CAYC Snooker Challenge

    The Snooker Challenge took place throughout December, with 16 players taking part and thoroughly enjoying the competition, with the top prize of a turkey for Christmas! Congratulations to Brian Willis, who won 2 frames to nil. It was great to see the table used! Many thanks to Michael and Suzanne Rankin for co-ordinating the draw & the updates on FaceBook!

    CAYC Christmas Dinner

    The Annual CAYC Christmas dinner was held at the club in December, with a sell out attendance of approximately 60 members. The meal was second to none, with every course absolutely delicious. THANK YOU to all the chefs, servers and clean up crew who made this such a wonderful meal!!!

    Craft Club gets festive!

    The Craft Club got together in early December for a festive wreath making session, using foraged materials from their gardens and some tricky ribbons! Thanks to the organisers and to Stephen Foster for keeping everyone going with delicious mulled wine. Craft Club meets every 3rd Wednesday in the club throughout the year.     CAYC participation in the Victorian Street Fair

    CAYC Junior Committee and Juniors were stallholders at the Victorian Street Fair selling their now internationally renowned Cadbury's Hot Chocolate Reindeer. Around 25 Juniors were involved in this whole process from the Production Department to the Sales Team and All were led by our Junior Committee. Their efforts were not in vain as they sold a staggering £525 worth selling approx. 200 Reindeer Hot Chocolate resulting
